This Israeli, Kfir Itzhaki, a former commando and martial arts instructor, charges a terrorist committing random stabbings. In view of the fact that Kfir is unarmed, it takes serious courage to charge a killer.
I think a key to his success is his total commitment. He charges the terrorist and throws a flying kick. Once he chases the cretin into the store he appears to throw a shelf into the terrorist, then chokes him out! He says, "The attacked becomes the attacker," which reveals his mindset.
He is also resigned to the likelihood of getting stabbed. I think this helps to calm himself, because rather than become terrified of a possible, if likely, outcome, he embraces it.
